The page uses the now popular sensationalist term for the night’s events, but these images represent the only evidence of damage that Ollie could find around Barton St. Does anyone else have any views about this, or any memories of the night that they would like to share?   • I still can’t agree with that description. There were ‘disturbances’, encouraged by a desire by people from outside the area (few, if any, residents were charged) to emulate disorder in other cities, but it never amounted to a ‘riot’.
