Charter Court

Here you can find memories of Charter Court residents.  Charter Court in Victoria St is administered by Gloucester City Homes and provides sheltered housing accommodation for the elderly.  The memories are the legacy of a Heritage Lottery funded project that ran during 2013.  It was organised in partnership by the Charter Court Residents' Association, Gloucester City Homes and Gloucestershire Archives.  The interviews were conducted by Michael Cassar, Neil Faulkner and Gordon Barrington of the Residents' Association, Gwynne Brown of Gloucester City Homes, and Paul Evans of Gloucestershire Archives.  Summary transcriptions of the interviews have been made by Charles Waine.  Audio interviews have been edited by Sara Scorey, and filmed interviews by Joe Edwards, an IT apprentice with Gloucestershire County Council.
