Our Reminiscence Theatre piece

By Ollie Taylor

The theatre piece "Hidden Lives of Barton and Tredworth" premiered at The Picturedrome Theatre, Barton Street, on Saturday 25 February and since then the actors have taken it to a packed Ukrainian Parish Hall in Derby Road, as well as to a number of primary and secondary schools around the County.  A final performance occurred at the Picturedrome on Saturday 28 April.

What's it about?

Towards the end of 2011, young actors from Gloucester Theatre Company conducted a number of oral history interviews with Barton and Tredworth people. They wanted tell their important but often unheard stories.

Their script was based on the words the contributors themselves used in their interviews. They called the play "Hidden Lives of Barton and Tredworth".

Can I see a trailer?

Yes! During rehearsals, the actors worked with a professional film company to produce trailers for two of the stories told. Click on the videos below for a preview of parts of the show!
